MOBIUS Institute is in the running for a national award after being named Victoria's regional business of the year.
The Merricks North business was the only entrant from the Mornington Peninsula to be nominated for a 2012 Telstra Victorian Business Award.
Jason Tranter and wife Georgina Breedon established Mobius in 1999, which now has training centres in 30 countries.
The business specialises in vibration analysis which is used primarily to detect early signs of machine failure.
It will now compete in the Telstra National Business awards on August 29.
