Yachting result a real Fizz-er

15 Apr, 2009 12:00 AM
THE Gavin Dagley and Glen Gibson-sailed Fizz has taken

out the 2009 Flying 15s Victorian championships open division held at Mornington Yacht Club.

Fizz, a Mordialloc boat, was sailed perfectly over the

three days of competition to win the prestigious event. Peter Milne's Highly Improbable took out second place in front of Brian Carroll's Supertoy Plays On.

Racing was held in near-perfect conditions over the Labour Day weekend and competitors in the final day's event were accompanied back to Mornington harbour by a large pod of dolphins.

People interested in Flying 15s, or sailing in general, can call Mornington Yacht Club manager Greg Gleas on 59757001 or email office@morningtonyc.net.au
