PINES earned itself a place in MPCA District division next season after beating Baden Powell in the Sub-District final at Alexandra Park on Saturday.
Pines needed 70 on the final day of the match and lost just two wickets before Stephen Jackson and Travis Pastuska raised the winning score.
Rick Anstiss was the star for the Piners with the bat, hitting 45, while Paul Bradley contributed 19 on the final day.
Baden Powell made just 140 on the first day of the match in 100 overs and it was never going to be enough to win the game.
While Pines took 95 overs to get just 142, they always had plenty of overs and plenty of wickets to play with.
John Harrison bowled 32 overs for the Braves, 19 of them maidens, while also snaring two wickets.
Baden Powell used seven bowlers to try and force the breakthrough, Andrew Norris bowling 27 overs and finishing with figures of 1-33, while Elia Carter snared 2-26 from nine overs.
