IT’S one from one for Mornington trainer Sam Pritchard-Gordon.
He made a promising start to his training career with Allthekingshorses winning the $12,000 Blooms On Bridge Maiden Plate at Benalla on December 11.
Allthekingshorses, who started his career with Tim Martin in Sydney, was Pritchard-Gordon’s first runner as a trainer.
Pritchard-Gordon, who was champion trainer Lee Freedman’s racing manager until the end of last season, said the win in the 1400-metre race was one of his career highlights.
“That was a big thrill,” he said. “There is no greater thrill than training your own horse to win a race.”
Allthekingshorses is one of nine horses Pritchard-Gordon has in work at his Mornington Peninsula base, with others to step out in coming weeks.
The trainer expects Allthekingshorses to benefit from Sunday’s long-neck win.
