TYABB forward Jonathan Flack was crowned the George Osborne medallist last week at the MPNFL medal count.
Flack, who booted 44 goals for the Yabbies this season, polled 18 votes to win the award for the Nepean Division's best player, one clear of Frankston Bombers' Brian O'Carroll. The Bombers' Nathan Lonie, formerly of Hawthorn and Port Adelaide, was third with 16 votes.
Seaford dynamo Chris Irving won the Peninsula Division medal, the EV Shade Medal. Irving polled a massive 29 votes, 11 clear of his nearest rival, Mornington's Daniel Villani, who polled 18. Chelsea's Anthony Lewis was third with 16.
Flack was a standout performer for the Yabbies this season, constantly among his team's better performers. He was also named on the half-forward flank in the Nepean Team of the Year.
Flack said it was a terrific honour to win the award.
"Team achievements are much more important in footy but it really was an honour to win the league medal.
"There are a lot of great players in the competition and it was nice to be considered to be among them.
"It's the team success I'm looking for, though. We were pretty good this season in another building year and we need just a few more bigger bodies to be a top-five side."
In Nepean Division, Sorrento small forward Marc Senior, who kicked 54 goals for the season, won the reserves best and fairest (Howard Armstrong Medal), while Sam Adams from Crib Point won the Bill Bosse Medal.
In Peninsula Division, Edithvale captain Andrew Lucas won the reserves league medal, and Mt Eliza's Anthony Simpson was crowned the under-18 champion.
