The Dales and Tooters are in sixth and seventh place on the table, a game and a half outside the top four.

Tyabb (fourth) and Seaford Tigers (fifth), however, are in a spot of bother in their matches, while Pearcedale and Tootgarook are in winnable positions. A loss for either of these two teams will end their season.

Pearcedale scored 191 against Rosebud. However, the Buds are batting beautifully and were 1-75 at stumps.

Tootgarook scored just 170 against Baden Powell but the Braves are one down for 16 in the chase.

Tyabb has to chase 271 to beat Flinders, and Seaford Tigers have the daunting task of chasing 335 against Skye.

Dean Polson scored 105 for Skye on Saturday, Glen Ward hit 85 and Jamie Smith 44. Gareth Wyatt claimed 6-77 for the Tigers.

Shane Beggs hit 81 and Simon Parrott 53 for Flinders and Andrew McKillop fell one short of his half century. Luke Rus claimed 3-56.

Jason Lane top-scored for the Tooters with 40 and John Harrison snared 4-20 for the Braves to help roll them for 170.

Kaine Smith top-scored with 69 and Gavin Moore got 45 for the Dales against Rosebud. Jason Nagel was superb with the ball for the Buds with 5-45.

Carrum Downs was restricted to just 157 against Dromana, Mark O'Driscoll top-scoring with 64.

Danny Timmer snared 4-43 for the Hoppers to be the pick of the bowlers. Dromana is 2-10 in reply.
