Women to listen up

24 Feb, 2010 12:00 AM
MORNINGTON Peninsula Shire's Women in the Workplace and Frankston Business Chamber's WomenConnect are hosting an International Women's Day lunch on Thursday, March 4 at Mornington Racing Club.

Talented businesswomen Sheree Marris and Kathleen Quealy will speak.

Ms Marris is an aquatic scientist and environmental communicator. She is also a radio co-host with the ABC and writes, presents and produces documentaries. Her award-winning book KamaSEAtra – Secrets of Sex in the Sea is a testament to her quirky style.

Born in Sydney, Ms Quealy has a degree in winemaking and spent time in the Granite Belt and the Yarra Valley before moving to the peninsula.

In 2006 she established Quealy Wines at Balnarring Vineyard and, inspired by the vignerons of the Friuli region in Italy, produced the now famous Pobblebonk wine. She manages Merricks General Wine Store.

Details: 59873078.
