Meat cleavers, a shotgun and a crossbow were among weapons allegedly found in a car boot after a McCrae teenager was pulled over during a random police check in Rosebud. The youth, 19, was pulled over about 1pm last Thursday for a routine roadworthy check. A spokeswoman said: "Police were amazed to find this large amount of weapons, which included various knives, firearms and ammunition, especially when there is a knife amnesty this month." The man was charged with firearm, prohibited weapon, dangerous article and drug offences.
