Rye man on drugs charges

28 Apr, 2010 04:00 AM
A RYE man was charged with drug offences last Thursday after police discovered a clandestine laboratory.

The lab was found after Mornington Peninsula police and customs officers executed two drug warrants in Noble Park and Rye.

The Rye man, 35, was arrested in Noble Park after taking possession of a package containing a banned import, a police spokeswoman said.

He was then taken to a Rye address where the second warrant was executed and the lab discovered.

The man was charged with importing a banned substance as well as manufacturing and trafficking amphetamines.
