Thousands of peninsula residents flocked to the 82nd annual Red Hill Show on the weekend to enjoy all the fun of the farm.
While exact numbers were unavailable, Red Hill Agricultural and Horticultural Society assistant secretary Liz Dart said organisers were "overjoyed" with the turnout.
"It was a beaut show in perfect weather and everyone went home with a smile on their faces," Mrs Dart said.
To the delight of the crowd, horses were back after a two year absence.
"There were Clydesdales, a miniature pony show, pony club and a fun ring. So there was everything from Clydies to teenie weenies."
A commentator who regularly attends shows said he had never seen a dog jump as high as a kelpie did in the dog high jump event.
"And the grand parade was just spectactular. Even a duck participated."
The woodchop program, animals and art and craft displays were also crowdpleasers.
The horse action continues on April 10 and 11 with the Red Hill Showjumping at the Treehaven Equestrian Centre.
"There are huge entries already by elite showjumping competitors," Mrs Dart said.
Independent photographer Daryl Gordon was there to catch some of the action.
