Police went to a home in Greendale Place, Mt Martha, after a 48-year-old woman was found by a family member about 10.30pm on January 26 with serious injuries.
The woman was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition with wounds to her back.
A police spokeswoman said on Monday that the incident had been investigated by police and deemed non-suspicious.
