Man injured after being hit by car at Rosebud Plaza

An elderly man has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car at a Rosebud shopping centre.

Police believe the man was walking in the car park at Rosebud Plaza when he was struck by a car allegedly reversing just after 11.30am on Wednesday.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman from Rye, is assisting police with their investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
