AN exhibition in Mornington this weekend will prove the adage that bigger is not necessarily better.

Mornington Peninsula Bonsai Society will hold its annual Easter show on Saturday and Sunday with a display of miniature trees, bonsai demonstrations and sales of advanced bonsai as well as starter plants, pots, wire and tools.

The club meets at Moorooduc Hall on the corner of Bentons and Derril roads on the third Wednesday each month at 7.30pm and holds regular Saturday workshops. Expert demonstrators visit and every two years a bonsai master from Japan is welcomed with fanfare.
