 Huge egg no poultry achievement

Huge egg no poultry achievement

A TYABB man is crowing after his chook unexpectedly laid a 'mega egg'.

Murrundindi bought three ISA Brown hens about three months ago from a local seller.

Last week he couldn't believe his eyes when he popped into the coop and saw an egg that turned out to weigh 96 grams instead of the usual weight of about 55 grams.

"When I saw this egg, I thought man, next thing she'll be laying a golden egg."

Murrundindi, who is well known for his Aboriginal history and culture talks at schools and didgeridoo and boomerang demonstrations at Healesville Sanctuary, said he would remove the insides and preserve the egg shell as a memento.
