DAME Elisabeth Murdoch will once again open the gates of her Cruden Farm in Langwarrin to host the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute's open garden day on Sunday, March 21.
Guests can stroll through the Edna Walling-designed gardens of Cruden Farm and enjoy fine wine, gourmet food, a sausage sizzle, live music and children's entertainment.
Organisers hope that raffles and sales of handmade goods will boost the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute's coffers for its work in fighting obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Last year, 1300 people enjoyed the event and contributed funds, enabling the institute's researchers to continue their work. Entry is $25 for adults and children free.
