Full sail ahead in Mornington

01 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
A Sailability program designed to introduce people of all ages and abilities to sailing received a new yacht last week. The Liberty yacht was donated by the Rotary Club of Mornington and the Sunshine Foundation. Colin Smith, left, pictured with Rotary club president Jack Carter, operates the mid-week Sailability program at the Mornington Yacht Club, and with Sailability co-ordinator Graeme Lyell, accepted the yacht on behalf of their club. Participants in the program include able bodied people, the elderly, people with some level of physical impairment and those with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities. The Sailability program has been operating at the yacht club since 2004. Picture: Daryl Gordon
