Ferry in Tassie

28 Apr, 2010 04:00 AM
The Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry MV Sorrento caused a few heads to turn in surprise as it sailed towards its Tasmanian tune-up last week. This picture was snapped by a local whose front yard is on the Tamar River when the ferry glided past on its way to Bay Wharf, Launceston, for regular maintenance. As the Sorrento is in dry dock from now until the end of this week, MV Queenscliff is running every two hours starting at 6am from Queenscliff and 7am from Sorrento. Ferries usually run every hour.
