BROTHERS Troy and Joel McGill put in good performances in the Athletics Australia all schools cross-country

championships at Bald Hills, Queensland, on Saturday, August 21.

Troy, a year 7 student at Padua College in Mornington, came ninth in the four-kilometre under-14 boys event.

Joel, a year 4 pupil at Mt Martha Primary School, finished a credible

18th in the 9/10 boys two-kilometres race.

Mt Martha Primary School physical education teacher Cameron Sweatman described the brothers as high achievers in all areas of sport.

Last year, Troy won the school's sports award at his graduation for his outstanding efforts in the field of sport, sportsmanship and leadership.

"Joel also shows great sportsmanship to all has classmates and shows high potential," Mr Sweatman said.
