Investigators believe the motorcycle was travelling west on Baxter-Tooradin Road before entering the roundabout at Hawkins Road and being involved in a collision with a white transit van just before 6.20pm.

The van is believed to have been travelling north on Hawkins Road before entering the roundabout.

The 67-year-old male motorcyclist was flown to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the van, a 21-year-old Tyabb man, was uninjured.
